Chanel supports young design talent
As part of the Hyères Festival of Fashion and Photography
Founded by Jean Pierre Blanc in 1986, the French town of Hyères 'Festival de Mode et de Photpgraphie' has long worked to support up-and-coming designers and photographers.
After a recent selection process, this year's ten final candidates are already working away to ensure that they are ready to present their collections in April to a festival jury headed by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, with the grand winner being offered the chance to work with Chanel's travelling show concept, Ateliers Métiers d'Art – last season hosted in Dallas, Texas.
During the course of the presentations, the jury will then determine the winners of several prizes – including the Jury's Grand Prize and the Public Vote from the guests in Hyères. Chanel will also be offering financial support to the young design talent that wins, around €15,000, to be exact.
The Hyères Festival of Fashion and Photography runs from April 26-29
