This week, the French fashion house has filed an infringement lawsuit against an Indiana-based beauty parlour for allegedly copying its trademark – Chanel

According to a source, Chanel accused salon owner Chanel Jones of benefiting from the luxury brand's reputation – as the name of the hairdresser is Chanel's Salon – stressing that Jones has only used her first name in her salon's branding.

Chanel filed the complaint at the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, however, who will win this case is hard to tell as the 105-year-old fashion house has a long history of defending its iconic trademarks, some of which go back to the 1950s.
