Cara Delevingne named contributing editor for Love magazine
The girl with many talents
It is easy to forget that Cara Delevingne is just 22-years-old. After a hugely successful 2014, which included a showcase of her singing talents, walking the runway for the world's most iconic fashion houses, posing for some mega campaigns and booking some coveted actor roles, the young talent is starting 2015 off with a bang...
Today it has been revealed that Condé Nast’s Love magazine have appointed the multi-talented Brit as its contributing editor. Delevingne fist started her relationship with Love in 2009, after meeting its editor-in-chief Katie Grand – the duo were introduced by Delevingne’s godfather Nicholas Coleridge, who is the managing director of Condé Nast U.K.
Speaking of the new appointment, Grand said she had “always known that [Delevingne is] an exceptionally bright, sharp and hilarious young woman. That’s why I was so keen to let her have this chance to exercise her skills as a journalist and writer. And she has proven herself to be a fearless interviewer, never afraid to ask all the questions we want to know the answers to.”
Delevingne's first official task will be to guest edit Love magazine's spring 2015 issue, which is set to hit newsstands come February 9. The model/actress/singer/editor said she: “loved the experience of being on the other side, asking the questions and having more directive control.” It is not yet known who Delevingne has interviewed for the upcoming issue.
Sølve Sundsbø has shot Delevingne wearing a Givenchy SS15 look styled by Grand for her contributor's portrait. The model has starred on four Love covers since spring 2010. Delevingne joins fellow model Edie Campbell at the title, who joined the magazine as a contributor in March 2014.
