Burberry launches personalised gift service via Twitter
Starting this week – in the latest social media push from the digitally pioneering British fashion house – a team of Burberry customer service staff will be responding to holiday shopping inquiries, providing personalised gift options via Twitter.
The 24-hour service is available to all Twitter users who tweet a question using the hashtag #burberrygifts. The brand's associates will then respond to tweets with direct links to purchase.
This new step furthers Burberry presence on Twitter as the luxury brand was the first to use Twitter's 'Buy' button in September – allowing users to purchase exclusive nail polishes from the Spring/Summer 2015 runway show.
