First look: Burberry Prorsum Cruise 2014/15
Poetic flair for the English heritage house
Following on from the English heritage house's decidedly bohemian AW14 collection, Christopher Bailey has taken a studious turn for Cruise 2014/15, packing his Burberry Prorsum collection with knitwear and printed blouses inspired by the graphic covers of poetry and fiction works from the early 20th century.
Illustrations featured imaginary titles such as Winds & Showers and The Orchard.
The line is made up of floaty silk dresses and lightweight cotton trenches in dip-dyed motifs, and a somewhat random safari theme also features; in the form of jackets and trenches with oversize patch pockets, as well as pencil skirts with fringing designed to resemble bits of coloured grass.
