Burberry has revealed its new festive campaign and it features a hijabi model

'Tis the season
Meet Ikram Abdi Omar – the first hijabi model to front Burberry's festive campaign...

From London with love, Burberry has finally teased us with what to expect from its upcoming holiday campaign. Forget your usual sparkling red backdrop, filled with Christmas cheer and twinkling lights, Riccardo Tisci’s latest campaign is set to highlight a new generation of the British brand, introducing a fresh concept and new faces for the brand’s annual holiday campaign.

The diverse line-up will include 51-year-old Carla Bruni alongside models and brand ambassadors Fran Summers, Zhou Dongyu, Shay, Lea T, Boychild, Wu Tsang, Cecilia Chancellor, Sasha Pivovarova, Marina Morena, Ah In Yoo, Mahmood and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Also starring in the upcoming campaign (set to be released in its full glory on November 13) will be Ikram Abdi Omar — the brand’s first hijabi model to front its holiday campaign.

The Swedish-born, UK-raised model has been working with Burberry since earlier this year as she fronted Tisci’s latest monogram collection for the collaboration between Farfetch and Burberry.

A breakout star in the fashion industry, we’re certain we’ll be seeing a lot more of Ikram grace our feeds.

Now, find out why Halima Aden will be heading to Saudi Arabia next month.
