British Fashion Council reveals 2016 fashion award categories

The voting process to celebrate and honour the finest in the world of fashion has begun. And the categories are...

The British Fashion Council has announced the categories for this year's Fashion Awards. The awards are divided into the a multitude of categories including Model of the Year, Ready- to-Wear Designer of the Year, Accessories Designer of the Year, Urban Luxury, Fashion Icon, Creative Influencer and Business Leader. In addition, there will be several recognition awards such as Outstanding Achievement Award, Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, and the Swarovski Award for Positive Change. As well, four British-specific categories are on the line-up including British Menswear Designer of the Year, British Womenswear Designer of the Year, British Brand and Emerging Talent Award.

While the winners will be chosen by a panel of 1500 industry experts, the award for Fashion Icon will be voted for by the public. The British Fashion Council Fashion Awards 2016 will be held on December 5 at the Royal Albert Hall.
