Dubai is home to yet another Fashion Week and it's launching a week after Fashion Forward. Today, Jacob Abrian, Founder of the Arab Fashion Council (pictured) was joined by fellow councilors Raffaella Carnevale and Mary Delle'edera as well as Sandeep Saihgal, Middle East Vice President of Huawei (the week's official sponsor) to officially announce Arab Fashion Week in Dubai. The three-day event, which is set to take place in March, was originally announced during Milan Fashion Week but the details were made official this morning.

While there's speculation that celebrities will be in attendance, what is confirmed are the 18 runway shows, which will be supplemented by talks. "High end, haute couture as well as brands that combine fashion and technology," will show said Jacob. "These designers were choosen through a long selection period that took eight months and they're from all over the world."

Designers including Les Copains, Atelier Leon Leon, Abed Mahfouz, Laura Mancini, Selphie Bong, Adelina Rusu, Sylvio Kovacic, Tiiya by AlAnoud, Tony Ward, Giada Curti, Genny, Mireille dagher and Anne de Grijff, have all been confirmed to show their Spring/Summer 2016 collections at the Park Hyatt, October 31 to November 2, 2015.

Adding to the discussion was Raffaella, who the events aim was to ensure: "The Arab world would change from a country of consumers to a country of producers."

Also joining the event as part of the Arab Fashion Council is H.E Cavaliere Mario Boselli, who stepped down from his role as the President of the Italian Fashion Chamber earlier this year. The fashion alum however is providing a wealth of advice to both the Arab Fashion Council and the Italian Fashion Chamber as an Honourary President. See what he has to say in the video below...
