First look: Nobuyoshi Araki shoots Bottega Veneta's Spring 2015 campaign

Japanese vibrations

Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki set aside his edgy ethos for the Spring 2015 advertising campaign he shot for Bottega Veneta, producing delicate yet powerful imagery for the Italian label

Photographed in Tokyo, Bottega Veneta's new campaign includes a shot of model Saskia de Brauw posing next to male model Sung Jin Park. The two are seen leaning against a wall in an empty monochromatic urban landscape, that gets a pop of colour with a red metallic chair.

"More than simply provocative, Araki's images have a powerful honesty and human poignancy that make them unforgettable," explained Tomas Maier, the creative director of the brand, about the photographer. "He has his own visual language, which I was very excited to see translated to the collection."

The bold campaign is set to break in February issues of major fashion titles, with Araki as the latest artist to collaborate with Bottega Veneta for an ad campaign.
