After Milan, Bottega Veneta is now tapping into the Los Angeles market with its bespoke service. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta has opened its Beverly Hills maison. Located on North Rodeo Drive, this is only the brand's second maison, after the opening of its flagship in Milan. The new maison was designed by Bottega Veneta's Creative Director Tomas Maier and holds two floors of the brand's complete collection from bags and shoes to ready-to-wear and jewellery.

Drawing inspiration from the local environment and architecture, Maier's design plays on the concept of light. The lightness was achieved through the addition of skylights, while the earthy colour palette along with fine stone and wood finishings – piscina and coquina stone as well as oakwood – lend a more luxurious feel to the maison.

"For the last several decades my eye for this style of architecture has evolved following frequent visits to places such as Santa Barbara, Montecito and Pasadena," said Maier. "The restraint and proportion of the minimalist Spanish Colonial architecture – the lack of colour, the simple complexity of the arches, the choice of stone all contributed to the facade design and interiors for this Maison."
