The prestigious prize has also been won in the past by Nicholas Kirkwood, Christopher Kane, Erdem and Jonathan Saunders...

Hopeful creatives for the 2015 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund may now begin the process of applying, each with a wish to follow in the footsteps of Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos last year.

The award will mark the sixth year in a row that just one talented designer or brand will be given the £200,000 prize to help grow their business, creatively and commercially – plus a bespoke 12-month mentoring programme.

Entrants must have a focus on creating a global brand; and send a copy of their business plan and portfolio ahead of the October 17 deadline, before a winner is selected by a judging panel that includes British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and CEO of the BFC Caroline Rush.

"Vogue and the BFC are committed to continuing to help the best emerging fashion talent," said Shulman. "This prize has been life-changing for the previous winners and the opportunities presented by both winning it and being shortlisted are not to be missed."
