
Barneys New York launches iPad app

American luxury department store Barneys has introduced its new free iPad app, in collaboration with the design firm Fueled. The app will work in parallel the www.barneys.com shopping functionality, including other 'exclusive content and experiences'.
Some highlights of the new app technology include personal shopping scheduling, push notifications about sales and brand launches, synchronised user accounts and how-to features to help with make-up application.
Additionally, the app holds other editorial-type exclusive interviews with names such as the Olsen twins and Elisabeth Moss.
A retailer diving into the technology world is not a new concept, but we have to admit, Barneys' latest offering surpasses most.
