Barneys New York builds on its editorial site
The iconic US store gets more creative online
Barneys New York will soon start building out its editorial site, The Window, with the help of Marissa Rosenblum – who joined the retailer on Monday as in-house editorial director for the site.
Rosenblum – who was previously the market director at the fashion site Refinery29 – will oversee daily content updates, including interviews with designers, beauty stories, trend stories from the fashion office and a behind-the-scenes look at the Barneys team.
According to Barneys, The Window has already had a 20 percent increase in traffic so far this year and page views are up 70 percent to date, stimulated by the spring Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters campaign.
In addition to revamping The Window, Barneys will also now use the content across other digital touch points like its recently launched iPad app, as well as in store.
