First look: Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2015

Berardi's boundaries

Inspired by masculine dressing and innovative fabrics, Antonio Berardi presented a Pre-Fall lineup based on the outlines of men’s wear...

Unveiling a 35-look collection, Antonio Berardi infused tailored elements with sculptural shapes and feminine fabrics. There was jackets cinched at the waist and flared skirts with thigh-high slits, as well as chic dresses with wide-folded lapels made from an abstract grey-and-navy houndstooth print.

Adding his signature touch of rich fabrics and detailing, a matching skirt and blouse look featured a glittering 3D diamond pattern stitched onto gingham, while mannish sweaters were adorned with beautiful beaded motifs – in-turn creating in his own fabric.

"I don't really believe in trends," Berardi noted about his Pre-Fall 15 lineup. "I work toward designs that are really beautiful and hope that they have a longevity simply because the fabric's beautiful or innovative. For me, the fabric is just as important as the rest of the collection."
