The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced this year's nominees as well as award recipients at New York's Ramscale Studios over the weekend. CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg revealed the stellar list of fashion names – think Raf Simons, Stuart Vevers, Marc Jacobs, Joseph Altuzarra – competing in four major categories including Womenswear Designer of the Year, Menswear Designer of the Year, Accessory Designer of the Year and Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent. Also, Balenciaga and Vetements' Creative Chief Demna Gvasalia, who was named Business of Fashion's Person of the Year, is set to receive the International Award while former Editor of Vogue Italia Franca Sozzani will be posthumously awarded the Fashion Icon Award.
