
Anna Wintour to be honoured at the British Fashion Awards
Set to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award
Today, the British Fashion Council (BFC) have announced that they will honour the legendary Vogue U.S editor-in-chief and artistic director of Condé Nast with the top Outstanding Achievement Award at next month's British Fashion Awards (BFA).
Previous winners include Manolo Blahnik, Terry and Tricia Jones, Paul Smith, Alexander McQueen and Joan Burstein.
The 65-year-old fashion legend started her career in publishing in London at Harpers & Queen magazine back in 1970, before moving to America in 1983 and taking over as creative director of Vogue U.S. Wintour then returned to the UK briefly to act as the editor-in-chief of British Vogue before rejoining the American version of the iconic magazine in 1988, where she has remained to this day.
The British Fashion Awards will take place on December 1 at the London Coliseum.
