First look: Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2015
Known in the fashion industry as the cool kid on the block, Alexander Wang's message for Pre-Fall 2015 is strong, sophisticated and utilitarian...
"We started thinking about what forms the archetypes and architecture of a woman's wardrobe, and then the idea of individual style," Wang said about his new lineup. "Street style has become where people follow trends, where they see an individual way of mixing things together that becomes so documented and so copied. It's really about individual style."
Sticking to the mix-and-match appeal, the collection features a new range of motifs and textures, yet with a strong presence of his core silhouettes including boxy blazers, draped dresses and body-hugging skirts. Inspired by menswear, loungewear, and uniforms, Wang softens the androgynous mood by adding multitexture knits, silk slips, and graphic stripes. He also added an extra dose of glamour with four feminine gowns, in black, white, khaki and a fishnet knitwear.
