Alexander Wang dares to be different with new location for his show
Heading to Brooklyn for fashion week
It seems American fashion designer Alexander Wang will be crossing the Brooklyn Bridge to show his latest collection in February. Wang commented about his choice for the new spot saying, "We found this incredible space, and it corresponds very well to this season's creative concept," The autumn/winter 2014 collection will be presented at the Duggal Greenhouse at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The designer also had to change the time of his show - he exchanged time slots with his friend Joseph Altuzarra and now Alexander Wang will be the final show on February 8, "We moved our show to the end of the day, to ease the flow of the schedule," a spokesman for Alexander explained.
This location change seems to be a one-off event, but perhaps Alexander Wang's decision will encourage more designers to branch out of the Lincoln Center venue?
