First look: Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2015

Armour up

Keeping a strong and stylish woman in mind, Alberta Ferretti’s Pre-Fall’s inspiration came from antique suits of armour, brining classical motifs and embellishments into the 21st century…

Like a modern-day character from the Game of Thrones, Italian designer Alberta Ferretti created a beautiful lineup of grey and black, highly embellished ensembles for her eponymous label's new Pre-Fall 15 collection.

Rich jacquard velvets and silk fabrics were worked into long, fluid dresses, while maxiskirts were worn under ribbed knits with elegant hoods. Modernising design motifs from old armour suits, Ferretti used silver or gold accents on trousers, oversized cocoon coats and minidresses for an opulent touch, as well as adding delicate embroideries with crystals on the label's Pre-Fall tailored silhouettes.
