Monique Lhuillier touches on her love for Marrakech and show stealing gowns at New York Fashion Week. Buro 24/7 Middle East takes a closer look at the collection...

It was a Summer's day in Winter at Monique Lhuillier's Fall/Winter '16 show in New York as fresh flowers and sheer elegance sweeped the runway. Marrakech was a main influence this season from glamorous draping to bold pops of colour. Sheer blouses were embroidered with brilliant life-like blooms in blush pinks, eccentric greens and deep ocean blues. Black chiffon was brought to life with golden spots and touches of sparkle, while pencil skirt and top duo's were rich in royal silks.

The collection reached its highest point with irresistable gowns that glittered with swirls of volume and layers of fun. Monique Lhuiller is also joining a number of designers this season including Rebecca Minkoff, who have chosen to showcase a select amount of designs available for purchase straight off the runway...
