Men's Paris Fashion Week: Raf Simons Fall/Winter '16
Would you like that supersized?
Raf Simons' Fall '16 show marked the 20th anniversary of his eponymous label and his first big reveal since his Dior departure back in mid 2015. Firstly, there were no seats and every guest invited was to experience the collection standing in their stylish shoes. Secondly, everyone was handed pre-show papers that detailed the collection's inspiration: Martin Margiela, Cindy Sherman, Twin Peaks, American youth, and The Breakfast Club. However, Raf delivered a strong play with proportion this season with oversized coats, extra-long sleeves and chunky knit sweaters. Colourful varsity sweaters were also a running trend, which were ripped and torn at the edges.
