Men’s Milan Fashion Week: Prada Fall/Winter ’18

Showcased at the new Prada Warehouse
A new runway location and a must-see F/W'18 collection created Prada history last night. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Welcome to the Prada Warehouse!

Last night, the maison’s newest Fall/Winter ’18 collection unfolded in a venue that encapsulates the maison’s identities and contemporary aesthetics. Adding to the news that marked the first time the Italian fashion house changed its iconic runway location, it was the brand’s new autumnal collection that had everyone in the industry talking.

It was brought to our attention yesterday that the brand tapped four creative minds — Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Konstantin Grcic, Herzog & de Meuron and Rem Koolhaas — to create a unique item using the black nylon fabric, a Prada icon. These pieces were then showcased at the show, along with Miuccia Prada’s nineties-inspired collection.

There were several oversized and layered street looks that were on display, sported with sweatshirts, padded hoodies, baggy trousers and boxy suits. Whilst a utilitarian and industrial aesthetic dominated the collection, it was the nylon fabrics, micro-geometric patterns, must-have accessories and new Prada logos that caught our eye.
