Chanel just acquired swimwear brand Orlebar Brown

The British label is getting a touch of Parisian flair
Just two days before showcasing its S/S'19 collection at PFW, Chanel is making headlines for a pretty major reason...

Men, if you’re a dedicated fan of Chanel‘s luxury offerings, then you’ll be excited to know that its menswear line is about to expand as the maison has just acquired a renowned British swimwear brand. 

Since 2017, Orlebar Brown has been looking for the right buyer to lead the business and it seems that Chanel was the perfect fit. 

Together the duo will offer Orlebar Brown clients the ultimate retail experience and a slew of high-quality beachwear and resort wear, as well as the brand’s signature 007 lines and bespoke offerings.

According to WWD, Founder and Creative Director of Orlebar Brown, Adam Brown, said: “Over the last 11 years, we have built something truly special. In Chanel, we have found the perfect home for the brand to continue to thrive and grow. I am very much looking forward to this exciting and enduring partnership and to building Orlebar Brown in the future.”
