Paris Men's Fashion Week: Valentino Spring/Summer 15
"Outsiders and freethinkers" with a hint of "silent sedition" is what creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli said inspired their latest Valentino men's collection.
Using luxe materials including silk, chambray and viscose blends, the beautifully embellished collection featured an array of different prints from a polkadot printed beige jacket paired with silk shorts to a power-blue pajama suit covered with a Fifties-style pattern of dancers.
Floral and abstract prints were also in full bloom, as the designers mix and matched the prints with one another, sometimes even three at a time. Colourful butterflies also fluttered their way onto the clothes, embroidered on army-style khaki jackets, a brown suede jacket — which had a 60's hippie vibe — and on a beige tailored suit combined with floral embroidery.
In addition to the spirited clothes, a variety of colourful accessories also made up a large part of the collection — following the same earthy colour code of the clothes, in maroon, beige, and baby blue — leather tote-bags with studs and in a vibrant camo print were carried while shoes consisted of a new sleek trainer that was two-toned and suede to a slip on sandal.
Showcasing tailored suits with bold patterns to coloured silk shorts and loose-fitting collar shirts, Valentino once again serves up wearable luxury.
