Milan Fashion Week Menswear SS16: Prada
Miuccia Prada took a step away from the ever growing momentum of the plight for boldness on the runway and opted for a "post modest" collection, that she says was aiming for something "more human and real." In this Spring/Summer 16 collection from Prada, there is a noticeable restraint, seeing tailoring take the lead and act as the foothold of design.
Contrast stitching detailing was a simple decorative touch, adorning shorts and pants as well as blazers. Shorts were a strong element of the collection, adding to the raw exposure of the lineup, that Prada was aiming for. Quirky sweaters emerged with rocket ship motifs and the popular bunny motif seen in the previous season. Jackets were adorned with contrast armbands in black on blue or orange on clue, with mirrored darts on matching pants, lending a motor racing vibe to this part of the collection.
