Paris Fashion Week Menswear SS16: Lanvin


Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver present an uber cool collection of menswear for Lanvin Spring/Summer 16, the looks are fresh but not new as Ossendrijver explains…

"I wanted things to have a lived-in feel – like it belongs to you – not squeaky new," said menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver. "I like the idea that things aren't perfect." And this Spring/Summer 16 collection for Lanvin certainly does feel pre-loved, an effect skilfully brought into play through deliberate oversizing, fraying edges and crude obviously stitched-up details. Nonetheless there is a uniqueness and a luxury infused into this lived-in lineup. 

Seeped in effortless cool, the collection remained close to the themes of recent collections, most notably through the dark hues employed by Elbaz and Ossendrijver.
