Sandro Homme Autumn/Winter 14
The Parisian brand rocks out
Evelyne and Didier Chetrite's husband-and-wife led team continues to explore the New York style of the 80s and 90s with Sandro Homme's collection for Autumn/Winter 14.
It is stated that band Sonic Youth's modern punk, plus The Jesus and Mary Chain's timeless rock-elegance were major style influences for the line. It makes sense when the look is both chic and rebellious at once, all the while combining sophistication and skilled design techniques.
Disproportion is also key – long and narrow coats share the spotlight, as do cropped pants, high waists and rounded jackets. The 'oil' prints work to radicalise the silhouettes with deep greens and intense purples.
