Milan Men's Fashion Week: Prada Autumn/Winter 14
Prada's theatre of fashion
Distraction was a keyword at this years Prada winter collection as Muiccia Prada put on a spectacle for her curious audience. This season the setting to this interesting mix of garments was overhead. Models - male and female were walking on a raised podium catwalk, covered in a charcoal grey felt lifted one meter of the ground, circling the neck craned audience and live orchestra.
The clothes had a 70's utilitarian look with bright pin stripes coming down the sides of pants, slim coloured scarves tossed over models shoulders, fur vests, light weight suiting and wide notch lapel coats. Although some would say the womenswear was more interesting than the menswear, the bold colour palette seemed to make the most impact. With a vibrant mix of olive green, bright purple, creamy beige, royal red and unusual shades of blue.
