London Men's Fashion Week: Burberry Prorsum
The late novelist and travel writer Bruce Chatwin was the key inspiration point behind Burberry Menswear Spring/Summer 15, resulting in a whimsical collection full of colour, much like vintage books on the many wonders of the globe.
Bailey said he was especially thinking of Chatwin, Englishman who, "struggled to stay in one place," and the, "complex spirit of a man on the move."
British singer/songwriter Benjamin Clementine performed a live set on the piano for the proceedings, which saw sporty cotton velvet trousers and jackets in bottle green and deep purple, while formalwear was kept bright and striking.
Models carried leather portfolios and notebooks with hand-painted illustrations, and studious satchels (a new style for the label) that were meant to look weathered and of course, well travelled.
