A new style book which reveals everything a man should know on becoming a proper debonair gentlemen

I Am Dandy: The Return Of The Elegant Gentleman was photographed by Rose Callahan and written by Nathaniel Adams, who together travelled the world in search of today's modern day dandies.

First appearing in 18th century, London, a dandy is a man that places extreme importance on his physical appearance, refined language and bourgeois mentality. Establishing themselves as a staple in men's fashion for more than 200 years, they created a movement - dandyism - which is now seeing a large revival.

In the new book published by Gestalten, Callahan and Adams showcase the well-kept lives of 57 contemporary dandies through the way they dress and live. The celebration of dandyism is displayed through 288 vibrantly coloured pages of unique accessories and perfectly tailored suits, worn by men from different countries and cultures including, US Vogue's editor-at-large, Hamish Bowles, an American jazz musician and the lead singer of a Norwegian 'deathpunk' band.

German editor-in-chief of Minnesota's The Gentlemen's Gazette, Sven Raphael Schneider, commented on his dandy approach to fashion saying, "Style does not end with clothes or any one element, style is something that needs to be lived in its entirety. It is reflected in your manicure, haircut, eloquence, table manners, behaviour and mindset."
