Science 101

Christopher Kane presents his Spring/Summer 16 menswear collection that is heavily inspired by science. Discover the biology and IT informed pieces in more detail here…

Christopher Kane’s penchant for science is well documented, not least through his designs and the Spring/Summer 16 menswear collection is a continuation of this interest. Kane takes us on a biology course through the lineup of designs that feature molecular patterns and suture-like stitching.

Knitwear pieces cam with overt stitching across it, resembling the medical process of suturing, whilst the mottled marbled pattern in black and white was designed to represent decay. Light notes came in the form of colourful rectangular stripes in dis-aligned formation, that resembled a bar-code.  Elsewhere bold grid prints adorned casual track top and pants in a black and red combinations, also veering towards to electronic sciences.
