At the height of Paris Fashion Week Mira Duma hosted an invite-only soiree, together with fashion designer Stella McCartney, to celebrate the launch of the movement, Fashion Tech Lab (FTL). The much-talked-about incubator project, which is geared towards changing the world of fashion by investing in innovative and sustainable technologically advanced concepts, is as McCartney told Buro 24/7 Middle East's Editor-in-Chief, Shannon Wylie, "so exciting". The sustainable creator, who is known for her vegan approach to fashion continued that: "Technology is the future. I hope that people are hit with the reality about our industry because it's really contrasting with what is going to happen in the future. The impact of what we're doing now is shocking. When you leave the event, really, reflect."
The event, which was hosted inside the Google Arts & Culture lab in Paris, brought together technology giants from around the world (think Paris, Silicon Vallery and Europe) including FTL board members Diane Von Furstenberg, Livia Firth, Alexandre de Betak, Alexandre Arnault, Natalia Vodianova and FTL's Chief Creative Curator, Delfina Delettrez Fendi. Also spotted at the gathering were fashion designers Maria Grazia Chiuri, Azzedine Alaia, Alber Elbaz, Jonathan Sauders, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Haider Ackermann, Gabriela Hearst as well as Jose Néves — who recently hosted the BFFI event during Paris Fashion Week with Mira Duma.
