Buro 24/7 Middle East Exclusive: Razan Alazzouni AW14
Behind the scenes on the Saudi Arabian designer's latest shoot
Sheer schoolgirl-esq pleated skirts and exquisite embellishment accents make for Saudi Arabian designer Razan Alazzouni's Autumn/Winter 14 highlights, revealed today exclusively by Buro 24/7 Middle East in a behind-the-scenes lookbook shoot diary.
A collection swathed with innocent appeal, the results look to be ultra feminine with a sharp silhouette focussing on streamlined separate pieces with cropped top-half hemlines.
Heavy-duty floral embroidery is featured on one standout prom dress, with a deep burgundy base, however remaining true to the girlish styling, whilst unkempt hair and fur headband keeps the look relevant.
Following on from Alazzouni's departure from her native Saudi Arabia and studies at The School of Museum of Fine Arts and TUFTS University in Boston, Massachusetts, the future designer spent her college years concentrating on sculpture, screen-printing and papermaking. She then returned to the Middle East to begin her eponymous line, and was featured in the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience before launching an exclusive couture bridal wear collection, as also revealed by Buro 24/7 Middle East late last year – proving that Razan Alazzouni is a label only going from strength to strength, within the region and beyond.
