Everybody’s wearing a red puffer, including Kate Middleton
How does one cure those winter blues? Well, according to Kate Middleton, an injection of bright crimson will ignite just about any gloomy day ahead. Yes, only red has such an impact; it's the colour of revolution, of kings and queens, of both danger and passion, and this season, according to the style savvy royal and a slew of celebrities, it's the must-have puffer jacket of the season.
Spotted sporting the electric winter essential, the Duchess of Cambridge went the bright and cheery route in a down-filled jacket by Perfect Moment for an afternoon of festive activities at the Peterley Manor Farm in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. She continued the Christmas charm by pairing the now sold-out puffer with a green wool jumper, a pair of indigo jeans and snow-ready hiking shoes.
If the look feels familiar, it most certainly is; the late Princess Diana wore a similar red style back in the early '90s. She paired hers with black jeans, a navy baseball cap and brown suede boots.
Another celebrity jumping on the cosy-but-cool-puffer band wagon was Ciara; the American songstress stepped out in a bright red Valentino Moncler coat iteration for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which she wore with matching joggers and a coordinating turtleneck.
And she's not the only face to show her love for the pulsating hue; Kendall Jenner and Emrata have both sported these splendidly versatile jackets, each in a bright, blushing shade that'll make anyone cave in to the pull of these down-fill, magic puffs this winter.
