P aris in September is a seasonal showroom (Spring/Summer on the inside, Fall on the outside), a canvas in which fashion's most intrepid innovators — from the established to the emerging — weaves their workmanship into the world. This ideology culminates at the Buro Fashion Forward Initiative (BFFI), an incubator event in partnership with Farfetch, that gathers creatives, pioneers and game-changers from the fashion and media industries to celebrate emerging designers.
Held inside the lavish Hôtel du Crillon the talk was rich, dynamic and led by Buro 24/7's Founder Miroslava Duma, "superwoman", as her co-host of the night and Farfetch Founder José Neves, describes her. Farfetch's Vice President of Style and Creative, Yasmine Sewell, super-stylist Christine Centenera, fashion designers Gabriela Hearst and Sandra Mansour — a BFFI finalist — jewellery designer Sabine Getty, models Jasmine Saunders and Arizona Muse, magazine editors Stefano Tonchi of W and Edwina McCann of Vogue Australia, PR maven Carla Otto, as well as Buro 24/7 Editors from around the world joined the digital power players.
The dinner decoratif was just as impressive as the guest list. VISIONÄR Studio's Founder and Creative Director Roman Kovalishin is credited with curating the soccer-themed table settings, which came complete with 15,000 rare green and black carnations.
