Exclusive sneak peeks
Kenzo is set to make its first appearance and will preview its upcoming collections, as well as bespoke products and services, across the weekend. Also making its debut, the Dior Homme pop-up will host several exclusive pieces including the worldwide pre-launch of the Bogarde BMX bike. Also joining the line-up are Asics, Nike, Puma and Reebok who are set to deliver yet another batch of coveted designs this year.
If there's one exhibition taking place this weekend that shouldn't be missed, it's the Andy Warhol Museum. Exclusively partnering with Cadillac for Letters to Andy Warhol, the exhibition provides a unique insight into Warhol's private life, personal experiences and relationships by showcasing a series of rarely-seen handwritten notes. In a celebration of the American artist — who has been featured on a number of ensembles by Calvin Klein — Cadillac will present letters from Yves Saint Laurent, Mick Jagger, the Museum of Modern Art, the New York State Department of Public Works and the icon's friends.
The three-day event is set to showcase several exclusive collaborations. First, luxury streetwear brand Les Benjamins has collaborated with Bloomingdale's for an achingly cool 27-piece collection that will be unveiled exclusively at this weekend's event. Also, Arwa Al Banawi has created a limited edition collection of jackets with Levi's. The Dubai-based designer fuses her Middle Eastern heritage with the denim-dominated brand's American aesthetic with seriously cool results.
Be inspired by some of the most prominent sneaker aficionados that are in town to host exclusive panel discussions. Don't miss the exciting talk with Japanese streetwear royalty Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Founder of Fragment Design and also the event's keynote speaker, who will speak alongside streetwear icon, Jeff Staple. Then, be sure to attend Monique Kawecki's talk as she discusses all things art, style and fashion with LA-based fashion designer, Melody Ehsani.
Expect to see award-winning musicians Kano, G.O.O.D Music President and rapper Pusha T, American silk-soul rapper Goldlink, German rapper Serious Klein, Teyana and a host of DJs including Tom Crane, Dave Lubin, Andy Baxter and the region's own, Mr Shef Codes in the line-up this weekend.
Sole DXB will run from December 7-9, 2017 at Dubai Design District. Also, discover the new Moroccan footwear label emerging into the Middle Eastern market.
