Adidas set to release its 3D-printed shoe
After the launch of the environmentally-friendly Ultraboost Uncaged Parley shoe, adidas is stepping up its revolutionary game once more with the upcoming release of its 3D-printed shoe, the 3D Runner. "This is just the beginning," said Mikal Peveto, Senior Director of Adidas' Future Team. "Creating customised shoes based on an individual's footprint – including their running style, foot shape, performance needs and personal preferences – is a north star for the industry and adidas is leading with cutting edge innovations."
The revolutionary shoe was designed and created using 3D technology that allows for the integration of elements, removing the threat of wear and tear at certain areas, specifically the heel counter. Also, the adoption of the state-of-the-art method results in both better performance and comfort while the trademark Primeknit feature offers an increased style quotient.
The Adidas 3D runner is priced at Dhs1225 and will be available at the Adidas flagship store in New York, London and Tokyo on December 15. Also, don't miss the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in a new colourway.
