Buro Loves: Liam Fahy's hand-painted brogues

This black and blue, hand painted floral design is printed on high shine leather to create a kind of masterpiece for Liam Fahy's SS15 collection

We've always been partial to a brogue on boys, but when this more feminine style caught our attention, we sat up and took notice.

Like every shoe by the London-based luxury brand, Liam Fahy, it is a style hand-made in Venice, Italy with the help of the same artisans as couture brands such as Chloe, Dior and Givenchy.

Each pair is produced in limited edition using the brand's signature nickel sole, resulting in a production time twice the length of any other designer shoe.

Liam Fahy's creativity was inspired by the African stone sculptors, musicians, weavers, and painters in the small Zimbabawen suburb that he grew up in. As an art and psychology student in Africa, he took a year to pursue his creativity and returned to study footwear at England's De Montfort University, before Fahy joined the design teams of several multinational sport brands immediately after graduation.

It wasn't long before his current niche, women's luxury footwear line was launched, hitting home runs one nickel sole at a time.
