Versace unveils Spring/Summer '17 campaign by Bruce Weber
Freedom in the countryside
After receiving the lifetime achievement award earlier in the month, celebrated photographer Bruce Weber is in the spotlight once again, this time for his work in Versace's Spring/Summer '17 campaign. "This is a collection about the dynamic moment and the freedom of the Versace life," said the maison's Creative Director Donatella Versace. "There is no-one I know who can capture that spirit and energy like Bruce Weber."
The Kentucky-based shoot, which features prominent model Edie Campbell and Anna Ewers, successfully relayed the message and personality that embodies Versace's seasonal collection. "Creating the visual campaign for Donatella's new collection has been exciting because it involves nature and horses and freedom," said Weber. "Freedom of choice, freedom of expression and freedom of speech. I think it's always interesting that fashion can carry messages in a subtle way and make people think about their own lives and how they can make it."
