Inspired by Istanbul and designed in Paris, fashion designers Ayse and Ece Ege of Turkish label Dice Kayek – winners of the V&A’s Jameel Prize 3 for their ‘Istanbul Contrast’ collection — have recently been climbing the fashion ladder at a rapid pace

The Dice Kayek sisters based between France and Turkey are becoming well-known for their unique ability to transfer Istanbul's traditional art and architecture into their wearable and luxurious clothes.

Working inside their Rue Moliere studio in Paris, the Turkish siblings design two lines, their ready-to-wear collections  Black label (the haute one) and Pink label (the more accessible one).

The beautiful collections reference Istanbul's iconic urban landscape and landmarks, from the soaring mosaic roof of the Hagia Sophia, to the domes of the Blue Mosque, and tulips that are scattered across Istanbul's parks.

Both lines in Dice Kayek are made for real modern-day women, functional yet opulent, each piece has its own distinctive flare, whether it's an architecturally-inspired silhouette or a more sporty look that features delicate beading or embroidery.

The fabrics the duo use also exude the best in quality and form, such as glossy duchesse satins, pristine silks and soft cashmeres. Taking woman from daytime events to evening fêtes, Dice Kayek provides the perfect balance between femininity and comfort.
