Top 10 Accessories: Milan Fashion Week
Hats, bags, shoes and jewellery
The snake boots at Gucci
Snake boots were spotted during Simone Rocha's show in London, but Gucci's offering is a completely different story. In contrast to the brutal boot presented at London Fashion Week, Gucci delivers a delicate and feminine version, reminiscent of style from the 60s.
The Prada show is no doubt one of the main events during Milan Fashion Week, demonstrating the must-haves of the season. It was no surprise then that from the AW14 offering, we are already dreaming about these shoes with an unusual architectural sole.
Boots and shoes at Marni
We liked the bright and fur collars, and perfectly lucid bags by Marni, but the pieces we're lusting after the most are from the footwear department. Notably, the shoes featuring metal plates and fringed details seen in a variety of colours, especially in green...
Bags and shoes at Giorgio Armani
Pale lime and neon green colours with wide beveled heels and fur-lined bags advanced Mr. Armani's collection into objects of desire for AW14.
The Dsquared2 collection is perhaps surprisingly most memorable for its accessories. White fur caps resembling police uniform, eccentric sandals with padlocks, and unusual necklace collars that looked medical, plus bracelets teamed with large rings.
Boots at Versace
High suede boots with elegant perforations and lacing, exuding the seductive spirit of Versace, easily make the cut in our top ten list.
Hats at Emporio Armani
We have become accustomed to oversized jackets with huge shoulders for the last two seasons, but oversized hats like these are something new for AW14. We absolutely love the look of models with heavily pencilled silver glitter eyes beneath large bowler hats.
McDonalds-style at Moschino
Drawing inspiration from the McDonalds colour palette, eccentric American designer Jeremy Scott delivered a collection full of vibrant accessories based on the iconic red and yellow logo. Following the show, the designer offered a capsule collection allowing fans to buy them hot off the runway, a real fashion treat.
The Karl Lagerfeld doll at Fendi
Perhaps the most charming of all the accessories from Milan Fashion Week was the little mink fur doll dangling from Cara Delevingne's fingers, who, just like the real Karl, wore black signature sunnies.
Shoes by Aquilano Rimondi
And finally, these unusual however super elegant shoes with gracefully curved heels round up our lust-worthy accessories seen at MFW...
