The making of Lily Allen's Chanel Haute Couture dress for the Bal de la Rose
Fit for a royal performance
Chanel has shared the details behind the making of Lily Allen's couture ensemble for her show stopping performance at the Bal de la Rose in Monte Carlo. The Art Deco theme was created by Karl Lagerfeld, who designed the royal event's invitations and decor, setting the tone for a truly glittering evening.
As Lily Allen was the star performer for the evening, Chanel created a bespoke ensemble for her composed of a long Haute Couture gown, hand embroidered with silver sequins and pink pearls by Maison Lesage, worn with a dramatic pink velvet coat over the top, created with a statement collar that was embellished with signature Chanel camellias that presented like a mane of fierce floral beauty.
