How Kate Middleton does Zara

The thrifty Duchess strikes again!
Kate Middleton does high-low fashion in Alexander McQueen and Zara…

She’s made re-wearing and repeating looks she’s worn over the years something of a signature look, and now, Kate Middleton is proving that, just like us, she loves a good bargain. For her first royal appearance of the year, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a striking black-and-white check day dress from popular high street retailer Zara. The now sold-out piece was previously priced at £89.99 (Dhs430) but has since been reduced to £15.99 (Dhs76) during the brand’s last sale.

The stylish Duchess mastered the ultimate high-low mix as per usual, teaming the affordable dress with a few designer pieces; an olive green Alexander McQueen coat, black Gianvito Rossi heels, and a croc-stamped mini bag by Aspinal.

The mother of three often sports items from affordable retailers, wearing fashion that’s more down-to-earth and budget-friendly that her royal audience can relate to. She’s been spotted in pieces by Jigsaw, Accessorize and even Monsoon, prompting a flurry of sales for the high street retailers.
