Exclusive: Noon by Noor launches Pre-Fall '18 collection
Play on proportions
As Middle Eastern designers continue to strengthen their presence globally and make waves on the international scene, there's one Bahrain-based label that has already enjoyed immense success since launching in 2008.
After debuting with an exclusive launch event in Los Angeles in 2011, followed by a presentation at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in 2012, Noon by Noor is now a firm favourite on the Big Apple's schedule (and despite the CFDA's schedule shake-up will continue to present as usual).
Founded by cousins Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohammed Al Khalifa— who explained why representing Bahrain during NYFW is monumental — the brand has just introduced its new Pre-Fall '18 collection.
Exclusively shared with Buro 24/7 Middle East, the backstage and lookbook images capture the hues of black, midnight, dove grey and a splash of atomic yellow which make up the colour palette for the trans-seasonal collection.
The Middle Eastern label is known for its expert blend of masculine and feminine elements, creating striking silhouettes that are as practical as they are pretty. This new collection sees the pair mix punchy prints with minimal embellishments and collection highlights include the use of textile patterns, Bahraini-inspired jacquards, wool gauze grids and mosaic-like graphics that all pay tribute to the traditional Bahraini costume. Expect to see designs that play with different proportions on dresses, shirts, pantsuits and jackets, too.
