Donald Drawbertson debuts new 'Fashion is Nuts' project starring Anna Wintour, Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld and more

We've not exactly been shy about our fondness of Donald Drawbertson (a.k.a. Donald Robertson) – the big-time beauty industry creative director by day, moonlights on Instagram as a modern-day Andy Warhol by night, delighting us with his artworks created from masking tape, paint, sweetener packets, q-tips and most recently: Nuts.
Drawbertson first hit our radar way back in November 2013 when he gave Jim Henson's Kermit the Frog a haute makeover, unveiling Kermès the Frog. Since then, Drawbertson's star has soared – he boasts a whopping 120,000 Instagram followers and counting, and has worked on "serious" art collaborations with the likes of shoe designer Brian Atwood, jewellery and accessories designer Kara Ross, iconic boutique Colette, Carine Roitfeld and Art Basel.
For his latest project, the father of the cutest baby boy twins on social media has partnered up with Water NYC to debut 'Fashion is Nuts'. Taking his "nutty" love for fashion quite literally, Drawbertson has created tiny models out of nut shells to present Pharrell Williams Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Kanye West, Grace Coddington, and more – as you have never seen them before.
Drawbertson's, frankly brilliant, nutty creations have been shot by renowned photographer Henry Leutwyler, designed by award-winning design firm Water NYC (Ruba Abu-Nimah and E. Renée Rogers) and produced by k/c (Karl Cyprien) to create limited-edition books and posters. 1000 copies of these coveted masterpieces go on sale today at fashionisnuts.com and come March 2 they will be available at Colette.

'Fashion Is Nuts' includes a limited-edition 40-page book with a print run of 1,000 copies and will retail for $40. In addition, a limited edition run of 1,000 24"x35" posters of one of the following nuts: Grace Coddington, Karl Lagerfeld, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Hedi Slimane, Yves Saint Laurent, Gabrielle Chanel, Pharrell Williams, and Riccardo Tisci will retail for $60. A set of all 10 posters will be available for $500. Drawbertson will sign 100 copies of the book that will retail for $100 and the posters for $150.
