Discover Versace's star-studded Spring '18 campaign
Remember that iconic finale Donatella Versace surprised the world with during Milan Fashion Week? The original supermodels — Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen — shut down the Spring/Summer '18 show, strutting down the runway in the ultimate Versace collection as a tribute to the late Gianni Versace.
Now, the Italian label has released the first images for its seasonal campaign and it encapsulates the same celebrity-filled power with more than a few fiercely fashionable faces fronting the ads.
Giving us a literal #TBT, the archival collection, which symbolises the 20th anniversary of Gianni's passing, is captured on legendary models of eras past as well as newer icons-in-the-making. Names include Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Kaia Gerber, Christy Turlington, Raquel Zimmermann, Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Cara Taylor, Birgit Kos, Grace Elizabeth and Natalia Vodianova (who just announced the theme for next year's Fabulous Fund Fair).
Made to empower women — a typical Versace design brief — the collection brings together a palette of rich colours, metallic mesh, animal prints and achingly-cool graphics on pantsuits, modest silhouettes, structured bomber jackets and flowing skirts.
