Celebrating Kate Moss
Woman of the week
Last Monday Ms. Kate Moss strutted down the stage of the London Coliseum for the British Fashion Awards where she received the Special Recognition award for her 25 years of modelling. Appearing on the cover of British Vogue 34 times throughout her career she now has become a guest editor and has also taken an interest in going behind the lens to lead photoshoots for the fashion bible.
After receiving the award from longtime friend Marc Jacobs, Kate was in no mood to end her night - instead Marc escorted her to the Playboy party where A listers Dontella Versace, Sienna Miller, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Miuccia Prada and the Delevingne sisters were in attendance to honour her for her fashion success. Making a quick change from her edgy McQueen gown, Kate arrived to the Playboy Club in head-to-toe Marc Jacobs.
After 17 years of strictly appearing on only women's publications - Kate broke her "man-ban" by appearing on the September issue of Esquire magazine for their "Made in Britain" issue. Moss will now also appear on the cover of Playboy for their 60th anniversary shot by Mert & Marcus. On December 2nd we saw a preview of the issue when the photographers posted a picture on Instagram of Kate holding a signed copy of the cover.
Long time friend Marc Jacobs has released a new t-shirt in commemoration of her Playboy anniversary cover featuring Moss posing as a Playboy Bunny. Proceeds from the sales of the tee are going to amfAR, an aids foundation - similar to his "Protect the Skin" naked series where proceeds went to the NYU Skin Cancer Institute.
