Nathalie Trad's limited edition designs for Buro 24/7
It takes two weeks and a combination of distinctive shells, carefully hand-inlayed to create each clutch in this extremely limited collection of Nathalie Trad bags.
Using materials such as Mother of Pearl, Paua Blue and Black Lip, the Dubai-based accessories designer has captured the essence of her brand DNA in one capsule edit. The shells used for the bags were sourced from around the Far East region, a "treasure trove of exquisite materials" says the designer. Once the raw materials are sourced they are then sorted through one-by-one to pick only the finest pieces for the bags themselves... Before the moulding, curing, preparing each piece of shell, inlaying, lining and applying the finishing touches takes place.
The process is executed by true artisans who have been taught the craft from childhood, carried from generation to the next, just like the clutches themselves may be one day. An adaptation from one of Nathalie's favourite clutches from her yet-to-be released SS15 collection – the 'DINÉ1938' – and it's the first venture of its kind for her brand.
"This is the first personalised collection I have created" she said, "I truly look forward to seeing the clutches carried by the distinguished and stylish women behind Buro 24/7 who epitomise the modern woman of today."
Those women are of course Buro 24/7 global founder Miroslava Duma and business development brain Nasiba Adilova, plus Buro 24/7 Middle East's Editor-in-Chief Holly Williams and Co-Owner Salama Alabbar.
