1. Alexander Wang x H&M
"The idea of collaborations isn't new anymore, they've been done from all angles. When they approached me, I wanted to do something different. It will be a new take on a lifestyle offering. It's a little early [to talk about it], but it's a completely new take on how they do collaborations," is how Wang described his highly anticipated, upcoming H&M collection.
Launch: November 6, in 250 H&M stores worldwide and online at HM.com.
2. Cara Delevingne x DKNY
"I can't believe that some random, rough ideas have finally turned into my own collection... Designs with my own name on them and in collaboration with the iconic DKNY brand," The supermodel wrote in a press release on the occasion of the big reveal.
Launch: This October in select retailers and online at DKNY.com.
3. Joseph Altuzarra x Target
Joseph Altuzarra is set to follow in the hugely successful footsteps of Peter Pilotto, Phillip Lim and Jason Wu as the next designer to collaborate with Target with a 50-piece collection.
Launch: September 14 at most Target stores and online at Target.com. Select items will also be available on Net-a-Porter.com.
4. Prabal Gurung x MAC Cosmetics
"For me, the starting point has always been the woman. I think what you try to create is a moment and emotion that, when people look at the particular girl with the hair, makeup and clothes, it's a split second of emotion and they'll walk away feeling something immediately, or when they see something else, they'll remember that particular moment," Gurung has said of the luxurious, deco-themed 14-piece cosmetics line, which is a limited-edition offering.
Launch: November 26 in North American MAC stores and in December internationally.
5. Olivia Palermo x Aquazzura
Earlier this summer, it was announced that Aquazzura had enlisted Olivia Palermo for a capsule collaboration. The style icon has designed six different shoes for the Florence-based label. "The Aquazzura aesthetic very much fits my own, so it made sense to collaborate with my good friend Edgardo [Osorio]," Palermo said. "I think it is no secret that I love a good shoe, so I very much enjoyed creating a 'survival pack' for every occasion and women of all ages."
Launch: September, at select retailers worldwide.
6. Mary Katrantzou x Adidas
"I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing Adidas sneakers, and I'm really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have a fantastic heritage, and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market," said Katrantzou of the upcoming collection, which will bring her eye-popping prints to clothing and footwear.
Launch: November, worldwide.
7. Rita Ora x Adidas Originals
The collection, which will include footwear, apparel, outerwear and accessories, will come in five different capsules that launch on different days, beginning later this month and continue to do so until December next year. "I'm a massive fan of the brand. I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It's so cool that I'm able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger," Ora said.
Launch: August 21, worldwide.
8. Fendi x Beats by Dre
During Fendi's SS15 menswear show in June, several models walked the runway wearing luxury Beats by Dre headphones in red, white and blue – reportedly part of a collaboration between the fashion house and the audio technology company. And we hear they're coming in black crocodile skin, too.
Launch: By the end of 2014 (reportedly).
