Montblanc pays tribute to William Shakespeare with special edition collection
Montblanc has unveiled this year's Writers Edition and it pays homage to one of history's most popular writers, William Shakespeare. At once a poet, playwright and novelist, Shakespeare presented the world with literary masterpieces such as Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet and Macbeth, and more than four centuries after those great achievements, Montblanc is honouring his life's works with a limited edition pen collection.
The Writers Edition William Shakespeare draws inspiration from a wide gamut of the writer's history; the octagonal shape of the Globe Theatre, to the feather-like engraving in reference to the quill pen, to the stunning gold-plated ring that is masterfully embossed with symbols from his most famous works. To ensure exclusivity, each piece has an issue number engraved on the cap.
Meanwhile, limited to only 1597 pieces to reflect the year Romeo & Juliet was first published, the William Shakespeare Limited Edition 1597 features a coloured barrel as well as elements of the Tudor era, which is synonymous with the great writer. To complement the stunning writing instruments, Montblanc has released a velvet red ink as well as two pairs of circular cufflinks. Discover the new pieces here...
